Alex Scott took to her social media account on Wednesday to share a string of bikini photos as she soaked up the sun on the island of Joali, which is also known as “the island of joy”. The 37-year-old, who is currently taking a break from her busy TV career for the Christmas period, flaunted her curves in a black crop top and tropical-themed bikini bottoms, while her caption read: “Sun Salutation (not quite).

Morning spot for mediation though has never been better. (sic)

Having spent the past couple of days documenting her holiday on the island, fans couldn’t help but shower Alex with compliments in the comments section.

@jonesdavid_blue wrote: “You look at peace that’s for sure hope 2022 is equally successful for you beautiful lady.”

“Too much pictures of your Luxus life which makes jealous,” @cosmicgate1 quipped.

“I am not interested anymore to see other people enjoying life.”

@educational.official added: “I don’t know if someone has already told you this, and even if they have I want to confirm what they probably have said before – you are simply beautiful.”

It’s been a whirlwind year for the former Arsenal footballer, who revealed to her fans earlier this month she was left feeling “guilty” after turning down some of her work commitments to reunite with her family.

Alex made the decision as she admitted to not having spent much time with her family throughout the year — particularly with her mother, Carol McKee.

Taking to Twitter to make the revelation to her 367,000 followers, she wrote: “At the time..what felt like a ‘huge’ decision to say I can’t do it (work wise) and spend time with my mum instead..

“Days of carry guilt/thinking I had let people down were wiped away seeing how happy she was to see me & actually…

“I think its me that needed today more than ever.” (sic)

Back in September, the Londoner touched on the stigma of not having children as she approaches 40, recalling how friends had suggested that she freeze her eggs if she still wanted to start a family soon.

Though she’s considered following the advice from pals, Alex said she’s “loving life” and doesn’t want to pressure herself into things just because of what other people think.

“Sometimes, my friends put pressure on me, ‘Alex, you’re not getting any younger, you need to do this.’

“But right now, I’m loving life – so why add pressure on myself because other people are saying it’s time now to freeze your eggs?”

Alex admitted she had previously struggled with her mental health after spending years being tormented by online trolls, which led her to seek professional help from a therapist.

Although she acknowledges being in a much better mindset today, she told Women’s Health magazine that going to therapy played a huge part in how she handles criticism and negative remarks on social media.

“Therapy’s helping me, so why am I not going to talk about it [freezing her eggs]?” the Football Focus star explained.

“It’s [about] taking away those stigmas that other people put on you.

“I get that all the time, ‘Why are you single?’ Like, sorry, do I have to be with someone?! [laughs].”
