Big Brother’s Grace Adams-Short and Mikey Dalton admit they would be ‘horrified’ if their kids did reality TV

Big Brother stars Grace Adams-Short and Mikey Dalton may have found love with one another in the famous house 14 years ago, but have admitted they would not want their children to do the same.

The couple, who appeared in the seventh series of Big Brother in 2006, met in the house and went on to get married and have three children – Georgina, eight, Spencer, five, and Allegra, two – and live in a stunning Liverpool home.

But, when 34 year old Grace and 37 year old Mikey appeared on ITV’s Lorraine on Tuesday 23 June to speak about their relationship and reality TV, they admitted they would not want the same fate for their offspring.

Lorraine asked the pair: “How would you feel, especially with your Georgina… How would you feel if your kids down the line said: ‘Oh, there’s this show, it’s a sort of spin-off of Love Island and I would like to be in it,’ would you be horrified?”

To which Grace awkwardly replied: “Yeah, I’m gonna… Yeah,” before laughing.

Big Brother: Best Shows Ever has become a must-watch show as it has looked back on some of the reality series’ most iconic moments and episodes in recent weeks.

Grace and Mikey had one of the episodes from their season looked back on by show hosts Davina McCall and Rylan Clark-Neal last week, which Grace revealed caused her to cringe.

Despite the nation knowing how they got together, their children do not as Lorraine asked Mikey if they told their children about their romance on the show. He explained: “Well, they don’t really know.

“Georgina knows, she’s eight now, she’s a big girl so she’s seen a few clips and stuff, but we’ve never really watched the show ourselves, to be honest.

“Watching the re-runs the other night, it was a really nice feeling for us both and it was quite funny for us to watch.”

Lorraine Kelly, 60, then asked if they would go back on Big Brother, as she expects it will have a revival after the latest programme’s popularity.

Grace admitted: “I think it’s so different now isn’t it? There was no Instagram and no social media when we worked. It sounds like a million years ago!”

To which Mikey said: “We’d miss the kids as well! If we went away for any longer than a couple of days I can imagine it would be really hard missing the kids and stuff as well.”

Grace then joked: “Someone said: ‘Put Big Brother cameras in your house and do a show with you in your house,’ I said: ‘Everyone would have to mute it! The noise with these lot!’.”
