Brian McFadden and fiancée Danielle Parkinson are having a baby

Brian McFadden and fiancée Danielle Parkinson are expecting a baby.

The former Westlife star, 40, and his partner revealed they are set to welcome their first child in May next year, following their third round of IVF.

PE teacher Danielle said news she is pregnant ‘feels like a miracle’, after she and Brian were left ‘devastated’ after previously suffering a miscarriage.

Opening up about their pregnancy news in an interview with OK! magazine, Danielle said: ‘It does [feel like a miracle] but I feel awful saying that, as I’ve had so many messages on Instagram.

‘The IVF community is so lovely and I’ve heard real traumatic stories from people who have been trying for 10 years, people who have had eight-plus miscarriages, so I feel we got lucky on our third attempt.’

Singer Brian revealed Danielle is now ’15 weeks along’ and told the publication that his daughters Molly, 19, and Lilly-Sue, 17, who he shares with ex-wife Kerry Katona, were ‘in tears’ when he told them the couple’s baby news.

Brian said: ‘Both of them were pretty much in tears when they saw the scan because they’ve been on the roller-coaster with us.’

He explained that he and Danielle had turned to a nutritionist ahead of their latest round of IVF to boost their chances of falling pregnant, after taking advice from Mike Tindall and Zara Phillips.

During the couple’s first round of IVF late last year, Danielle lost the baby at five weeks and found out while Brian was away in Dubai – meaning she was forced to break the news to him over the phone.

He admitted the experience ‘broke’ himself and Danielle, as he described their loss as the ‘worst sinking feeling’.

Their second round of IVF was unsuccessful – however, Brian and Danielle revealed at the time that they had two more IVF cycles to use and were feeling positive it would work.

The pair have been dating since 2016 and are set to tie the knot after getting engaged in December.

Brian has previously been married twice. He wed ex Kerry in 2002, before later tying the knot with Vogue Williams, who he split from in 2015 after three years of marriage.
