Chrissy Teigen Is Getting Botox During Her Pregnancy

Hearing that a pregnant woman is getting Botox might cause some eyebrows to raise, but Chrissy Teigen doesn’t care. She’s once again opening up to her Twitter followers and admitting why she’s gotten Botox while pregnant with her third child.

“I get really really bad pregnancy headaches. was thrilled to be cleared to do neck muscle botox along with a crazy combo of beta blocker shots and radio wave frequency something something doctor terms,” she tweeted. “anyhow man it’s just so bad but I see the light finally.”

According to the American Migraine Foundation, some women experience migraines for the first time during pregnancy and some experience an increase in migraine symptoms especially during the first trimester. So, Chrissy is definitely not alone in her symptoms. Some of her followers showed support even though it’s unknown if Botox while pregnant poses a potential risk to the baby.

She explained that getting jaw Botox for grinding “was a MUST” for her regular headaches. She also said, “You can also do behind the brow for migraines. Life changing.”

One of her followers replied, “I’m so excited to hear you talking about this! I’m going in for jaw botox and neck muscle botox for headaches in a few weeks, and I can’t wait for the relief. Wish more people knew about this as an option for headache relief.”

Surprisingly, her admission hasn’t generated much, if any, controversy. Instead, people found her tweets to be relatable and informative. When one woman said she couldn’t get Botox while pregnant, Chrissy replied “Yeah if you have the means to go to a neurologist instead of cosmetic it’s a lot better and safer because they talk to your OB.”
