Catherine Tyldesley has revealed she lost her sparkling wedding ring while at a spa.

The former Coronation Street actress, who married personal trainer Tom Pitfield in May 2016, was answering fan questions during an Instagram Q&A when she admitted she lost her wedding ring during a spa getaway.

The 37 year old, who shares son Alfie, six, with Tom, told her 636,000 followers that she accidentally left the diamond wedding band in the pocket of a robe.

However, despite her luxury day out ending in disaster, Tom made she sure didn't go without and replaced it with a second ring.

During an Instagram Q&A one fan asked: "Is that your wedding ring and engagement ring or an eternity ring as well? Is all 3 which order?"

Catherine answered: "This is actually, so it's my engagement ring – which I love.

"And this is my second ring.

"Because I actually lost my first wedding ring at a spa day – I left it in a robe!"

Earlier this week, it was reported that Catherine claimed £50,000 from the government furlough scheme during the pandemic.

Catherine is said to have claimed from the scheme to help prop up her production company Dreambig.

According to the Daily Star, Companies House accounts are said to show the company had £23,000 in cash deposits.

Actress Catherine and husband Tom, who own the company together, are said to have bolstered the business with up to £50,000 from December to April this year.

Like many businesses, Catherine is entitled to claim money from the furlough scheme on behalf of her business.
