Foo Fighters‘ Medicine at Midnight debuted atop the Billboard Top Albums Sales chart dated February 20, giving the band their third No. 1 on the list.
According to MRC Data, the album sold 64,000 copies in the U.S. in the week ending February 11. Out of the total, 36% came from vinyl LP sales. CDs and digital albums logged sales of 20,000 copies each.
The song’s 23,000 in vinyl LP sales marks the third-largest sales week for a hard rock album since 1991, the year MRC Data started tracking sales.
Medicine at Midnight is Foo Fighters’ third No. 1 on the Top Album Sales chart after Concrete and Gold and Wasting Light, which hit the top in 2017 and 2011, respectively.
The band has a total of nine top 10s on the chart, the first being The Colour and the Shape, which peaked at No. 10 on the chart dated June 7, 1997.
