Tilly Ramsay, 19, has shared an insight into her dad Gordon Ramsay’s reaction to her being partnered up with Nikita Kuzmin, 23, on Strictly Come Dancing 2021. Tilly’s pairing with Nikita was revealed on Strictly’s launch show last weekend, during which she shared the news with the celebrity chef via FaceTime.
However, Tilly has now admitted that Gordon was less than impressed with the announcement behind-the-scenes.
It comes after Tilly and Gordon have been busy entertaining TikTok users with their dance routines in recent months.
TV presenter Tilly spilled: “I think it’d be great to see him dance [on the show].
“He’s actually really upset that I’ve got a new dance partner.”
The Strictly star continued in an interview with this week’s Radio Times: “You know, he’s been my dance partner for a long time now [on TikTok], and he said, ‘But you will still dance with me?’
“And I’m like, ‘Maybe you’ll have to go and find a dance partner, Dad’.”
Tilly went on to detail her parents’ thoughts ahead of her first dance with Nikita on the live show on Saturday.
She said of her mum Tana Ramsay: “I think my mum is really nervous, but excited — and just trying to show the excited part.
“And, gosh, Dad is over-the-moon excited. Honestly, every day, without fail, I wake up to him calling me, playing the Strictly theme tune and trying to dance around my room, and I’m like, ‘No, stop!’
“It’s sweet the first couple of times, but when it gets to a couple of months in, you’re like, ‘Please, stop!’”
The BBC show gave fans a glimpse at Gordon being introduced to his daughter’s new dance partner during the Strictly launch.
Tilly said during their video call: “Dad, meet Nikita!”

“Nice to meet you,” greeted Nikita.
Gordon then replied: “Congratulations and good luck to you both.”
Tilly thanked her dad for his supportive words.
However, Gordon then cheekily told Nikita off for his wardrobe choices.
He quipped: “Nikita, can you do me a favour? Can you do your shirt up?”
“Oh dad…” Tilly sighed in response.
Professional dance Nikita seemed to take Gordon’s advice seriously, as he promptly buttoned up his shirt.
