The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge enjoyed a romantic night out at Sunday's Earthshot Awards, where, according to onlookers, they 'full on snogged' backstage while mingling with their pals.
According to a bystander, who submitted the story to celebrity Instagram account Deux Moi, the royals were acting like 'a couple of kids in love', before the eco-prize ceremony began.
The onlooker is quoted as saying: "Wills and Kate were all over each other whenever it was quiet and no one was really around, just like a couple of kids in love. (They were) still very discreet, obviously. It was a very casual vibe backstage before everyone was seated."
The guest continued: "Kate and pals (including Marlborough College friend Trinny Woodhall) were giggling and sipping champagne like school girls."
In fact it didn't go unnoticed that Kate and Wills were touching shoulder to shoulder on the red carpet at the prestigious gala, which was held at Alexandra Palace on Sunday. The pair normally stay quite formal at ceremonies, but stayed especially close to one another as they greeted fans and press ahead of the show.
Kate looked stunning in a floor length pastel Alexander McQueen dress, which she first wore to the BAFTAs in 2011. Meanwhile, William opted for a slightly less formal look, donning a black turtle neck and green velvet jacket, which drew comparisons to James Bond. No wonder Kate was so taken with her hubby!
The star-studded event, which saw appearances from Ed Sheeran and actress Emma Watson, is the first of William’s environmental prize givings, set up through his and Kate’s Royal Foundation. It will award £1m prize to environmentalists each year until 2030.
