Christine Lampard nipped out to grab some essentials as it appears her football manager husband Frank will now be around a lot more.

He is expected to leave his position at Chelsea today after a run of poor Premier League performances.

The Blues are ninth after their expected title challenge never got off the ground and speculation is growing that he faces the sack on Monday afternoon.

Although it's a big set-back for his career, the good news for Christine, 41, is that he will probably be on hand to help out more in the build up to the baby arriving.

Wearing a mask and opting to go out without a coat, the star showed off her blossoming baby bump as she got out of her car.

Looking relaxed in her sequinned jumper, she enjoyed a stroll in west London.

She said last week that "football consumes 99 per cent of Frank's brain" – so she is sure to enjoy some extra attention if this morning's reports prove to be accurate.

Her second child with her husband is due at the start of April, she excitedly announced last week.

Two years after welcoming their daughter Patricia, the couple are gearing up to be parents again in three months.

Speaking on Loose Women, she beamed: "I'm 20 weeks already.

"April is when it is, early April. It's really not that far away. It will be here before we know it, we can't quite believe it!

"It's just a lovely thing to look forward to, what with all the bleakness."

She explained why it had taken her so long to tell the world the big news.

"It wasn't a big secret but every time I wanted to announce it, Boris would say something else!" she joked.

"Every time I wanted to do the old Instagram post, he would beat me to it and announce something dreadful on the news.

"It never seemed there was an appropriate moment to share it."
