Prince George is all grown up as he flashes cheeky smile in 9th birthday photo taken by mum Kate Middleton

Prince George is all grown up as he flashes a cheeky grin in brand new snaps taken by his mother, Kate Middleton.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's son is set to turn nine years old on July 22, and the third-in-line to the British throne has been seen more and and more recently on engagements with his parents.

In the candid snap George looked like any other happy nine year old as he beamed into the camera, wearing a casual blue polo t-shirt whilst stood on the beach.

Kate Middleton, 40, is a keen amateur photographer, and she's well-known for taking many of the official family photos that she and Prince William, 40, have released to the public.

The Cambridges release photos of their children, George, 8, Charlotte, 7, and Louis, 4, taken by Kate to mark each of their birthdays every year.

George has been seen on plenty of outings with his parents, Prince William and Kate, this year, as they slowly introduce him to public life.

He was spotted putting on a united display with his family as they celebrated his great grandmother, The Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June.

Prince George was also seen at the Wimbledon tennis final with William and Kate, as they watched three-time defending champion Novak Djokovic defeated Nick Kyrgios.

The young prince is known to be quite the sports fan, and he's often seen watching major football matches with his father, such as when they attended the Euro 2020 final in 2021, when Germany beat England to the winner's title.

Kate also took the official photographs of her mother-in-law, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall to mark her 75th birthday this month.

The photos were used for Country Life Magazine when they featured Camilla on the cover of July's issue to celebrate her milestone birthday.

Camilla has worked on the special edition of the magazine directly, serving as guest editor for it, and has spoken in an ITV documentary following her in the role.

Speaking in the documentary, Camilla said: "They are very good pictures. She does it very naturally. We had a lot of fun doing it.

"It was very relaxed and very kind that the Duchess of Cambridge came with her camera – she is an extremely good photographer. It was all very casual.

"There wasn't much hair or makeup. It was just done in the garden with a lot of laughs. It was a lovely way of doing it."

One of the photographs got the royal seal of approval by Camilla's husband, Prince Charles, and she said of it: "This is the one I know that my husband approves of. Catherine said if anything else needed to be done she would be happy to.

"If I can get over the fact looking at myself, I think they are very nice and just what is needed for Country Life."
