Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's pregnancy announcement may have included a "secret nod" to his late mother Princess Diana, it has been claimed.
The 36 year old Duke of Sussex and his 39 year old Duchess wife revealed they are expecting their second child together on Valentine's Day with a touching black and white photo.
A spokesperson for the couple said on Sunday night : "We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child."
But fans of the couple – who stepped down as working members of the Royal family last year – have noticed a link between their announcement and the one Princess Diana made when she was pregnant with Prince Harry himself.

Princess Diana, who tragically passed away in 1997, announced she was pregnant with her second child on 13 February 1983.
As, back then, the internet and social media did not exist, this means the announcement was made to the world the following day, on Valentine's Day.

Exactly 38 years later, Harry announced that he was expecting his second child, following his wife's devastating miscarriage last year.
Writing for the New York Times, Meghan bravely opened up on her miscarriage, explaining how she felt a "sharp cramp" and "dropped to the floor" while changing Archie in the summer.
Describing the moment she realised "something wasn't right", she wrote in the account: "After changing his diaper, I felt a sharp cramp.

"I dropped to the floor with him in my arms, humming a lullaby to keep us both calm, the cheerful tune a stark contrast to my sense that something was not right.
"I knew, as I clutched my firstborn child, that I was losing my second."
Harry's grandparents The Queen, 94, and Prince Philip, 99, have since spoken out on the happy news to congratulate the Harry and Meghan.
A statement from Buckingham Palace said of the news: "Her Majesty, the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince of Wales and the entire royal family are delighted and wish them well."
