Hip-hop duo Run The Jewels have tapped in Rage Against the Machine‘s Zack de la Rocha for a song from their new album RTJ4.
The track “JU$T” features Pharrell Williams and de la Rocha.
The duo – Killer Mike and El-P – have also announced that it will make the album available for free following the death of George Floyd.
The free 11-track album, which was originally slated to drop on Friday, June 5, arrived two days early.
“F**k it, why wait,” they said. “The world is infested with bullshit so here’s something raw to listen to while you deal with it all. We hope it brings you some joy. Stay safe and hopeful out there.”
Meanwhile, the band requested its fans to donate to the National Lawyers Guild Mass Defense Fund, which provides legal support for political activists, protesters and movements for social change.
After the announcement, fans had donated more than $10,000 in the first 45 minutes of RTJ4‘s release. El-P later revealed that “we are almost at $100k” donated to the organization by the end of the first day.
