Spencer Morgan, 28, couldn’t resist teasing his dad Piers Morgan, 56, about his latest home addition. Spencer told his 41,000 followers he was starting to worry about his dad, after he added a “spaceship” to their garden.

Starting to worry about him.

The son of the outspoken journalist posted the picture containing a circular igloo-shaped wooden hut in the family’s garden.

Spencer said: “@piersmorgan built a spaceship in the garden.

“Starting to worry about him.”

The hut is covered in wooden panels, with just one small circular window at the front.

There is also a window at the top of the structure, seemingly for stargazing at night.

Piers’ new garden outhouse bears an extraordinary resemblance to something from outer space, worrying his son Spencer.

Piers’ family garden is very minimalistic, with only green astroturf and a small white table and chairs on display in Spencer’s photo.

The outspoken journalist has had a lot of time on his hands since the beginning of the year, after he left Good Morning Britain.

On March 9, while presenting the show, Piers doubted the accuracy of the account given by the Duchess of Cambridge in her Oprah Winfrey interview.

In this interview, Meghan spoke exclusively about her mental health issues, which included suicidal thoughts, during her time in the Royal Family.

Piers did not believe her, leading to an intense argument with weather presenter Alex Beresford.

In anger, Piers walked off set, to then quit the following day.

Piers never took back what he said, and even tweeted since his exit: “On Monday, I said I didn’t believe Meghan Markle in her Oprah interview. I’ve had time to reflect on this opinion, and I still don’t.

“Freedom of speech is a hill I’m happy to die on.”

Due to the explosive TV moment, Good Morning Britain surpassed the ratings of rival BBC Breakfast for the first time.

There was also a recent Ofcom investigation into Piers’ remarks, where ITV and the presenter were cleared of any wrongdoing.

Moving on from this, on September 16 it was announced that Piers would join News Corp as a presenter on their new television channel talkTV.

Piers will also take on the role as a columnist for The Sun and New York Post.

The TV show will air in the UK, USA, and Australia and is scheduled to launch in early 2022.

With Piers’ new job, it is unlikely he will have much time to sit in the garden in his new home addition.
