James Martin, 49, has been chided by radio presenter Zoe Ball, 50, as she reminisced over taking part in Strictly Come Dancing. James appeared on Zoe’s BBC Radio 2 show to discuss his new recipe book, Butter.

Whilst on the show, Zoe decided to go down memory lane.

She said to James: “You know, I was just reminiscing James about how we did Strictly Come Dancing, series three.”

James said: “You know it was 16 years ago?”

The pair burst into laughter, with Zoe responding: “Stop it!”

Zoe then added: “Do you remember anything we learnt?

James, showing off, replied: “I remembered, I remember everything! Don’t you?

Zoe joked: “Of course.

“We did have fun on tour. I will tell you that much.

She added: “We did have a good laugh.”

In October 2005, it was announced that Zoe was going to be a contestant on the third series of the show.

She was partnered with Ian Waite and the pair came in third place.

It was announced in 2011 that she would be taking over from Claudia Winkleman to host It Takes Two.

Recently, however, it was announced that she would be leaving her role as a presenter after 10 years and was replaced by Janette Manrara.

Likewise, James took part in the 2005 series and was partnered with Camilla Dallerup.

Other celebrities that took part include Colin Jackson, Patsy Palmer and Fiona Phillips.

The couple finished the show in fourth place after being eliminated on December 10.

During his time on the show, his competitive side was brought to the fore with his own challenge to try and beat Darren Gough each week.

His best performance came in the semi-final of week nine, when their Foxtrot routine earned them 33 points from the judges.

Darren Gough, however, took the Strictly trophy that year with his dancing partner Lilia Kopylova.
