Superstar Adele has slammed the former Health Secretary over his relationship with his advisor, Gina Coladangelo, after it came to light earlier this year. The Someone Like You singer, 33, didn’t hold back as she revealed exactly what she thought of the West Suffolk MP in her first interview in five years.
The dirty sod!
When asked about her thoughts on the disgraced former health secretary, Adele didn’t hesitate in hitting out at the MP.
“The dirty sod!” she told British Vogue while discussing the scandal.
Back in June, the Conservative MP was caught breaking social distancing rules during his “canoodling” session with his aide and PR Chief.
At the end of the month, the politician resigned as Health Secretary following increasing pressure for him to leave his post.
In a letter to the Prime Minister he said the government “owe it to people who have sacrificed so much in this pandemic to be honest when we have let them down”.
Boris Johnson said he was “sorry” to receive the resignation.
Sajid Javid was chosen as his replacement.
After the clip, which was published by The Sun, first emerged, the ex-Health Secretary ended his 15-year marriage to his wife Martha, with whom he shares three children.
Entrepreneur Gina also ended her marriage to Oliver Bonas founder, Oliver Tress, and is now believed to be in a relationship with her former boss.
Gina and Oliver also share three children.
Speaking in a video on Twitter, Matt said: “I have been to see the prime minister to resign as secretary of state for health and social care.
“I understand the enormous sacrifices that everybody in this country has made, that you have made, and those of us who make these rules have got to stick by them and that’s why I have got to resign.”
Also in the Vogue interview, Adele opened up on her “embarrassing” split from her ex-husband Simon Konecki.
Speaking about her short-lived marriage, the singer said: “We got married when I was 30… and then I left.”
When asked why she decided to end the marriage, Adele revealed that she was too “embarrassed” to go into further detail about the painful split.
She replied: “I’m not gonna go into that detail.
“Remember I am embarrassed. This is very embarrassing,” she added.
However, she admitted: “It wasn’t very long.”
Speaking about reaching a milestone birthday, Adele looked back on how her life took an unexpected turn.
“When I was 30, my entire life fell apart and I had no warning of it,” she told the fashion magazine.
Adele covers the November issues of British and American Vogue and the interview can be read here.
