A MUM has revealed how she created an amazing Christmas wreath entirely out of chocolate for just £10.
Taking to the Facebook group, Extreme Couponing & Bargains UK, run by money saving mum Holly Smith, the mum shared a snap of her festive creation.
Captioning the photo she wrote: “Rather than gifting a box of chocolates for Christmas this year, I've opted to buy a polystyrene wreath from Hobbycraft (£1.20) and make my own chocolate wreath.
“In my opinion, it looks much more thoughtful, looks like there is more sweets than one tub (even though that's all it is) and it just looks more expensive!
“I'll add a Christmas ribbon to it closer to the time to match the rest of my gifts. Very happy with the result though, especially considering this is my first time making something like this!
“I used a hot glue gun to attach the sweets. Only cost £3.99 from Aldi and I'll get a lot of use out of it, so it's a worthwhile investment for me.”
Celebrations, £5, Tesco – buy here
With a tube of Celebrations coming in at £5 at Tesco, the mum spent an estimated total of £5.19 on the wreath.
Fellow group members were seriously impressed with the idea with her post amassing almost 1,000 likes, and her handiwork praised in the comments.
One wrote: “Wow you have done such a lovely job, love all the home made stuff.”
Another agreed adding: “Looks amazing & such a great idea x well done luv (sic).”
“Amazing idea… Very creative” said a third.
