CALL out Jack or Oliver in a playground and about 10 heads will turn.

Which is not necessarily a bad thing – they're lovely names.

Call out Nirvana and that is less likely.

Still, that hasn't stopped one mum naming child after the popular band fronted by Kurt Cobain.

And her other kid is called Jude, after The Beatles' famous song.

Now, pregnant with her third, she isn't sticking to the usual rulebook but opting for a music-themed moniker.

"Fox – this is my second choice but don’t like the nickname possibly of Foxy."

"I get that you like out-there names but the only non music name is Fox and I think that's pretty awful."

Another added: "This is cringey. It’s your kids names for life not your music preferences that need to be considered.

"What if they hate indie/ grunge. What if you had been called Disco or Jive or Twist? Don’t lumber them any more…"

Another added: "Everyone is sniggering behind your back."

And one suggested: "Queen. Very topical and definitely unusual for a boy."
