The Duchess of Cambridge usually opts for very natural makeup, looking impeccable and with radiant skin. But what’s her secret?

The Duchess of Cambridge has a beauty routine not requiring luxurious or expensive beauty products.

The mum-of-three simply uses a very affordable skincare item every day before going to bed.

The Duchess reportedly uses a face flannel to wash her face and remove any makeup.

The royal is said to be a fan of cleansing her face with a flannel, which can be found in any supermarket, according to Hello!.

Kate’s makeup artist Arabella Preston explained it is actually the best way to remove makeup and dirt at the end of the day.

Face flannels gently cleanse your skin but also exfoliate it.

Instead of using a cleanser or cream, using a face flannel is much more beneficial for the skin.

Using the beauty item will exfoliate the pores, lowering the risk of breakouts on the skin.

Skincare expert Caroline Hirons explained: “Flannels get your skin CLEAN.

“Think of your parents: how did they wash you when you were a kid?

“They used a flannel.

“They are more substantial than wipes or muslin, are far more effective at removing dirt, and help exfoliate the skin, too.”

She continued: “You don’t have to spend a fortune on the plushest, fluffiest flannels.

“Any will do.

“But go for white so you get the satisfaction of seeing the muck come off,” Caroline said.

However, the Duchess’ healthy meal plan also contributes to her radiant skin, as she follows a diet rich in antioxidants.

Fitness expert, Sarah Campus, explained “Being a busy mum I would suggest that the Duchess is likely to follow a very simple nutrition plan, consisting of a smoothie for breakfast, followed by some protein and vegetables with carbohydrates for lunch, and similar for dinner.

“She follows a diet that is rich in antioxidants to keep her active throughout the day.”

But the Duchess has other beauty hacks such as rosehip oil, which she used during her pregnancies to avoid stretch marks, according to Hello!

Kate was also spotted at Wimbledon using a hydrating lip shimmer to keep her lips shiny and hydrated.
