Melania is no stranger to wearing glamorous looks when making public appearances.

Yesterday, she joined her husband as the couple took part in an event with students, teachers and administrators.

They were also accompanied by US Vice President Mike Pence for the ‘National Dialogue on Safely Reopening America’s Schools’ event.

Meeting inside the White House in Washington D.C., they discussed how to safely reopen schools in the United States.

Melania opted for a classic look and wore a geometric white and black dress.

The dress had a high neckline and was completely sleeveless.

It had a white top which pulled in at the waist with triangle shaped black detailing.

The dress had a black knee-length skirt and she chose to wear her legs bare.

The former model completed the look with a pair of classic black suede pumps.

The pointed toe heels were the Christian Louboutin So Kate pumps that are on sale for £525.

Yesterday, a video from the meeting was posted on the FLOTUS Instagram page.

In the clip, Melania said: “The first pillar of my Best Best initiative is children’s wellbeing and taking care of children’s social, emotional and physical health has never been more important than during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The administration has worked around the clock to protect Americans from the coronavirus but many challenges for children and families can be just as invisible as the virus, and just as dangerous.

“When children are out of school, they are missing more than just time in the classroom.

“They are missing the laughter of their friends, learning from their teachers and the joy or recess and play.

“For children with disabilities without access to technology or where homes are not a safe place, the situation can be even worse.”

A selection of pictures were also shared on the FLOTUS Instagram page.

The caption read: “Informative Summit @WhiteHouse today on Safely Reopening America’s Schools with @POTUS, @VP, @SecondLady, State and local leaders, health professionals, parents and teachers.

“We heard thoughtful and expert insight on reopening schools safely to protect the well-being of our children.”
