Richardson's FW20 "Glyph" Is an Ode to Artist Bridget Riley

Richardson has just delivered a brand new capsule for Fall/Winter 2020, following the drop of its velour tracksuits from two weeks ago.

The newest capsule draws inspiration from the seminal English artist Bridget Riley. She’s been known for her Op Art-style paintings, employing disorienting effects of monochromatic patterns to evoke a sense of movement and dynamism.

Leading the capsule is a series of garments emblazoned with a high-density glyph print. Popping out against its sleek black nylon base is a textured print of Richardson’s logo. It sports a slightly rubberized material, referencing the geometry of Riley’s work. Another highlight in the range is the Tartan Trapper hat. The headwear is lined with supply fleece materials that wrap around the top, while a subtly embroidered “Richardson” logo placed above the brown leather brim completes the hat. Other pieces found in the capsule include the white coach jacket, snapback, pillow and ashtray finish.

Richardson’s FW20 “Glyph” capsule will be available on December 3 on the label’s website — prices have yet to be confirmed.
