WHOEVER said orange was the new pink was seriously disturbed. The immortal words of Elle Woods are very true, especially today, as we celebrate National Pink Day.
From Barbie to Baby Girl cards, the colour pink is a vision of all things sweet, romantic and feminine.
It’s also one of Fabulous Bingo’s favourite colours!

However, until approximately the 1940s, pink was considered a masculine colour and blue was a feminine colour!
The colour also has slightly different meanings across the globe. It’s associated with trust in Korea.
In Switzerland, there was a project to paint jail cells pink to help calm down aggression, as the colour has a soothing effect.
To celebrate all things pink, here are a few of Fabulous Bingo’s favourite pink things…
The fierce and fabulous American singer-songwriter may be a strong, independent icon, but she actually started out as part of a band.
She left Choice in 1995 to start her solo journey. With a tonne of smash hits already, like So What, Just Give Me A Reason and A Million Dreams (cover), P!nk’s latest release was in May 2021 with All I know So Far: Setlist.
It was P!nk’s second live album and the soundtrack to the documentary film “Pink: All I Know So Far”.

Pretty in Pink
This classic teen rom-com was a great love triangle tale. Audiences in 1986 watched as poor Andie (Molly Ringwald) had to choose between the affections of her childhood sweetheart, Duckie (Jon Cryer) or rich but sensitive playboy, Blane (Andrew McCarthy).
When Andie said she didn’t know if she was “emotionally ready” to face the day, we all felt that.
If you thought their high school looked familiar, that’s because it’s the same one that was used in Grease.

Pink Panther Wafers
If the colour pink had a taste – this would be it. That sugary, crispy, vanilla bite is the taste of childhood!
The nation had a horrifying moment in 2017 when it seemed like they would discontinue this delicious pink treat, as the distributor went into administration.
However, our collective prayers were answered when they were picked up again!
The wafers were inspired by the adventures of bumbling Inspector Clouseau and the sleek pink panther.

Pink Bingo Rooms
While Fabulous Bingo does love to eat, watch and listen to pink, obviously our favourite pink of all is bingo pink!
Technically, our whole site has a glorious pink tinge, so any game on Fabulous Bingo is a pink game.
However, there are some bingo rooms that have just a little bit of extra pink thrown in for good measure. Have you played in them yet?

- Fluffy Favourites – A sensational celebration of all things cotton candy! Check out games with the Fluffys Feature, which can award extra prizes.
- Bargain Bingo – The bingo might be cheap, but the prizes are generous. You might not even need to spend a penny on the tickets, if the game has the Free Tickets feature enabled. Plus, there’s extra winners when the 1TG feature is active.
