Jason Manford has shared a glimpse inside his lavish theatre-themed 40th birthday.

The comedian, who celebrated the milestone birthday on the scorching Bank Holiday Monday, shared a collection of snaps to his 322,000 Instagram followers of the glamorous garden party.

The 40 year old revealed how his best friend Steph Ledigo, owner of the popular Go PR and Events, organised the birthday bash.

Captioning the pictures of the event, he penned: “Don’t go overboard Steph!’ When one of your best pals is a party organiser, you know you’re getting the works!’ Amazing day.”

The talented team has set up a gold Art Deco-style bar in the garden which featured a jar of personalised lollipops featuring all of the productions and shows Jason has starred in including Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Sweeney Todd and Curtains.

A string quartet were also seen playing classical musical on the patio while gold theatrical masks lined the pathway into the garden.

Meanwhile a huge blue bouncy castle was set up in the garden for Jason’s six children including three daughters and a son from his first wife Catherine, who he split from in 2013, along with a son and a daughter with his TV producer wife Lucy Dyke.

A grand buffet was decked with gorgeous red curtains and a gold antique frame in the centre which read: “Happy Birthday Jason”.

We can also see bespoke cupcakes topped with snaps of Jason along with mouth-watering pick-and-mix for his guests to enjoy and even a handmade figurine of Jason himself.

The sprawling garden also had plenty of space to enjoy the hottest day of the year so far with a plush outdoor corner sofa along with a manicured lawn area.

The 8 Out of 10 Cats star received messages from well-wishers on his Instagram post including his celebrity pals.

Martine McCutcheon penned: “Enjoy!”

Six-time Olympic champion Sir Chris Hoy added: “Hope you had a good one mate!”

Former Blue singer Antony Costa wrote: “Looks quality mate.”

It comes after Jason switched up his microphone for a delivery van last year as he put in a shift for Iceland during the pandemic while comedy gigs were cancelled due to restrictions.

However, it was revealed that the new job was indeed a PR stunt and the budget supermarket promised to donate to the star's two favourite charities if he clocked in as a driver.
