A new mum was left panicked when she discovered that her breast milk had turned pink and "looked like milkshake".
Jo Johnson Overby was around six weeks into breastfeeding when she noticed the change in her milk.
Taking to Instagram, the parent shared a viral video which has now racked up more than 12million views.
She was heard saying: "Nobody told me that whenever I had a baby, that if I chose to breastfeed, my milk would come in an array of colours.
Jo then showed another bag and jokingly described it as "strawberry milk, as she added: "Exhibit B. And why is it pink? It's blood. Baby can drink it though. So, it's up to you whether you do it or not."
According to llli.org, pinkish milk may indicate blood in your milk.
The site reads: "It should clear after a few days as more milk flows through your breasts, and it's fine to continue feeding your baby your milk.
"You may see blood in your baby's vomit or poo – this can be very scary, however this is usually not your baby's blood but from your breast milk."
People were stunned, as they quickly commented on the video.
One wrote: “Bless you moms that are giving the rest of us ladies a heads up before we become moms. I would’ve had a heart attack.”
While another added: "Woman to woman thank you for this content.”
Meanwhile, another mum found a handy use for her breast milk recently – making it into butter.
In the TikTok video, mum Laura Hall, known as @laurahall53 on the site, revealed she'd churned her breast milk and turned into butter.
She said she even fed some to her husband on a slice of toast – but he was not impressed.
