Restaurant worker says she was told to seat ugly people at the back

A restaurant worker caused a stir when she made a video claiming her boss told her to make sure "ugly people" were seated at the back.

In the clip, uploaded on TikTok by Brooke Schofield @brookeschofield1, she spills the beans on what supposedly happened at the fancy Los Angeles eaterie where she works.

Playing the Louis Armstrong song "What a Wonderful World", presumably ironically, she says: "When my boss at my restaurant job told me I had to seat 'ugly' people in the back."

The video shocked a lot of TikTokers when it was uploaded on Friday (October 29) since then it's been watched one million times.

While some people thought it was funny, others said the establishment ought to be "named and shamed" for its unfair treatment of ugly people.

One user commented: "One time I brought my family into a nice restaurant and they sat us in the basement lol – only ones in the basement."

"Me thinking they gave me a private place because I'm special lol," shared a second viewer.

Someone else wrote: "Damn I thought I was VIP because it's close to the kitchen and bathroom."

Another restaurant worker appeared to agree and commented: "We would literally not give a table by the window to anyone unless they were models or something."

But someone else in the restaurant business tried to reassure viewers and said: "This isn’t a thing so don’t worry guys.

"Usually we seat people by sections based on rotation or what the server can handle."

This comes after chef and meme star Salt Bae opened a pricey new restaurant in London with gold-coated steaks that can cost up to £1,350.

One diner managed to rack up a £37,000 bill at the steakhouse.
