There’s nothing worse than splashing out on an expensive perfume, only to find yourself using it up and having to break the bank again – but one savvy shopper on the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK may have found the solution.

The bargain hunter claims to have found a dupe for Jo Malone London’s Pomegranate Noir scent in her local Aldi store, and took to Facebook to share her amazement.

“Aldi have brought out their own version of Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir,” the shopper writes about Aldi’s No.3 Pomegranate Eau De Parfum.

“It smells extremely similar! It's £5.99! Handy to just keep in the car,” she adds.

The Facebook user shared a snap of the bottle she picked up in the supermarket, and it looks remarkably similar to Jo Malone’s iconic packaging.

Jo Malone’s Pomegranate Noir scent, however, retails at a whopping £100 for a 100ml bottle, so we can see why the shopper nabbed herself Aldi’s £5.99 version.

Judging by the comments on the original Facebook post, Aldi’s bargain fragrance range already has a cult following.

“I bought the number four and the number of people who asked if I was wearing Jo malone,” one user claimed. (No4 is Freesia & Pear, another Jo Malone inspired scent in the Aldi range.)

“Agree it does smell very similar, doesn’t last as long but great for £5.99,” another said.

Although shoppers claim the scent doesn’t have the staying power of Jo Malone’s fragrances, many are happy to use this cut-price version more regularly rather than splash out on luxury versions.

When asked how long the scent lasts, the bargain hunter replied “a couple hours, 4 max I would say…I mean for £6 it’s handy instead of wasting my £100 bottle for the school run.”

“That's not bad for 5.99! I might give it a go,” the original poster replied.

While Aldi’s No.3 Pomegranate Eau De Parfum is out of stock online right now, you can pick up a candle, diffuser and a hand and body wash in the identical scent.

Users on the Facebook group have tried the No.3 home and body range themselves, and took to the comment section to share their reviews.

“I have this hand gel smells amazing,” one person said, sharing a snap of their purchase.

“Love their no 3 hand wash and hand cream,” another wrote.

If you’d like to get your hands on Aldi’s bargain fragrance dupe but can’t get it online, we suggest heading down to your local store instead – good luck!
