The John Wick Five: Keanu Reeves Gifts Rolex Submariners To John Wick Stuntmen

Keanu Reeves is proving why he is widely acknowledged to be one of the nicest actors in Hollywood. The beloved movie star celebrated wrapping up work on John Wick: Chapter 4 by presenting the members of his stunt team with brand-new Rolex Submariners.

The move by the 57-year-old action movie star is sure to bolster his reputation for being a normal and nice individual.

Time Magazine had this to say about the actor’s appeal, “it’s not just Reeves’ on-screen roles that have endeared him to fans – it’s been his candid moments in real life, like securing a shuttle for his fellow passengers when a flight was canceled or courteously giving up his seat on the subway.”

Social media posts showed Reeves gifting brand-new Rolex to all the members of the John Wick: Chapter 4 stunt team, a crew known as the John Wick 5. Although the watch wasn’t named, Time + Tide suspects the timepiece is a Rolex Submariner 16610.

Each of the watches featured a personal engraving on the back to ‘The John Wick Five’, alongside the stuntman’s name and a personal ‘thank you’ from Keanu.

Rolex Submariners are available in stainless steel, two-tone, and precious metals. The price of a Submariner ranges from $8,100 to $36,950.

The gift is even more impressive once you factor in how hard it can be to get ahold of a Rolex right now.

The timepieces are in high demand, both new and preowned, especially the Submariner model Reeves gifted the stuntmen. An increase in demand, paired with supply chain disruptions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, has led to a shortage of the watch. Because of that, the watch, which has an MSRP of $9,150, is currently commanding twice that on the secondary market.

With a net worth estimated at $350 million, it’s obvious the actor could manage.

Keanu Reeves isn’t the only actor doling out Rolex Submariners. Tina Fey and Louis C.K. have both revealed to Jerry Seinfeld in Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee that they too received the gift from Chris Rock. The comedian gave the gift as a thank you for helping him rewrite an unnamed movie.
