This £12 facial oil worn by Billie Eilish stole the show at the Met Gala

Sure, the fashion looks are what really catches attention at the 2021 Met Gala, but it’s also an occasion for which celebs seriously up their beauty game.

One of the gorgeous looks that really sent the internet into a frenzy on Monday night belonged to Billie Eilish, as the 19 year old appears to be transforming her image at the moment. Moving away from her grungy green-haired look, we’d say she’s definitely moving into a more glamorous aesthetic now that she’s a platinum blonde.

Aside from the fact that she’s literally a teenager, there were a few specific skincare products behind Billie’s flawless red carpet complexion.

Makeup artist Rob Rumsey prepped her skin using products from affordable beauty brand BYBI – which was also used on Megan Fox to create her flawless Hollywood starlet look.

Rob’s secret? "I love to spot treat dry patches with this BYBI Beauty Strawberry Seed Oil [ £12 here ] OR add a few drops into foundation to keep skin glowing, hydrated and flawless," he explained.

The vegan facial oil is rich in antioxidants, which brighten and protect against free radicals, as well as fatty acids to support the skin barrier. It’s also turning waste into good, made from seeds that would otherwise be thrown away by juicing factories.

Face oils are great as we transition into the colder months, as they’ll really nourish a winter-ravaged complexion and help to keep a sluggish complexion at bay by boosting your skin’s natural radiance.

To get a slice of this flawless glow for yourself, after cleansing and using a hydrating mist on the skin, mix two drops of the oil into your day moisturiser and apply to the face and neck.

Billie paired her flawless skin look with a Marilyn Monroe-inspired ‘do. Her newly chopped shaggy bob was coiffed to perfection and paired with a rich nude shade of lipstick ( Charlotte Tilbury Super Nudes in Runway Royalty , £25 here, to be precise). However she still retained an element of edginess with thick, lived-in winged eyeliner.

Whether we’re talking Gigi Hadid ’s red hair transformation or Lupita Nyong’o’s carefully constructed natural afro, the stars truly pulled out the stops with their hair and makeup to the theme of "America: A Lexicon of Fashion", and Billie was just one of the stars of the show.
