Barcelona set to raid Chelsea for THREE players as Azpilicueta, Rudiger and Pulisic targeted in triple transfer swoop

BARCELONA are eyeing a three-player raid on European champions Chelsea, according to reports.

The trio of Antonio Rudiger, club-captain Cesar Azpilicueta, and Christian Pulisic are all targets for Barcelona boss Xavi.

Rudiger and Azpilicueta are entering the final months of their Chelsea contracts and are summer targets, according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo.

The signing of Pulisic meanwhile comes sooner on the agenda, with Barca keen on a January loan deal.

The American international had struggled with an ankle injury this season, featuring in just six Premier League games this campaign.

And only two of those have been from the start, meaning a loan move to rack up some much needed match minutes could be on the cards.

That suits cash-strapped Barcelona, who don't have the funds to cover big money transfers.

As a result they are targeting loan deals and free transfers.

One potential free signing is that of contract rebel Rudiger, who is highly unlikely to pen an extension at Stamford Bridge.

He is another player targeted to help kickstart Xavi's revolution at Camp Nou.

However a deal for the 28-year-old is said to be 'complicated,' as Barca cannot afford to shell out on his enormous wage demands.

Rudiger currently earns around £100,000 on a weekly basis, but is expected to pen a deal at his next club upwards of £400,000-A-WEEK.

Those demands price out Barcelona by a long shot, with the German reportedly in agreement to join bitter rivals Real Madrid instead.

Cesar Azpilicueta on the other hand offers a more realistic target.

He is also out-of-contract in the summer, and yet to be offered a new deal.

Xavi is thought to favour his versatility as he is able to play both centre-back and right-back, and he would also bring huge experience to a young team.

The 32-year-old is already claimed to be in 'advanced talks' with Barcelona, leaving his fellow Chelsea stars fearful that an exit is on the cards.

Both Rudiger and Azpilicueta are free to begin negotiations with overseas clubs from January 1.

And Barcelona could end up fielding near-enough a full starting line-up of ex-Chelsea players in the near future.

Andreas Christensen – also out of contract in the summer – is another Stamford Bridge star linked with the Spaniards.

Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner too are reported to be 'in talks' over a loan move to Barcelona.
