Canelo Alvarez vs Callum Smith tale of the tape as blockbuster super-middleweight fight ‘AGREED for December’

SAUL 'CANELO' ALVAREZ and Callum Smith have agreed terms for a super-middleweight fight in December, according to reports.

The Mexican is preparing for his return to the ring after he was was released from his contract with Golden Boy Promotions and his record £278million deal with DAZN.

He has not fought since he jumped up to light-heavyweight last November to win the WBO belt against Sergey Kovalev.

But ESPN claim he has agreed terms to fight No1 ranked super-middleweight Smith next month.

An exact date is yet to be confirmed but all eyes are pointing towards December 19.

The incredible AT&T Stadium in Texas is believed to be the most likely venue.

Canelo enters the bout with an incredible record of 53-1-2 including 36 knockouts.

He has beaten the likes of Gennadiy Golovkin, Rocky Fielding, Amir Khan and Miguel Cotto.

The only man to beat the four-division world champion is Floyd Mayweather.

But Smith, who towers over Canelo at 6' 3", will be hoping to cause an upset.

British boy Smith has held the WBA and Ring magazine super-middleweight titles since 2018.

He remains unbeaten after 27 fights, with 19 wins via knockout.

His most recent came against John Ryder in November 2019.

The fight between Canelo and Smith is yet to be officially confirmed.

But Ryan Garcia has made it clear that he wants to fight Luke Campbell on the undercard.
