Damon Hetas wild celebrations with belly out spotted as Australia win World Cup

Darts fans loved Damon Heta’s wild celebrations as he beat Jonny Clayton to give Australia their first World Cup of Darts victory.

Aussie duo Heta and Simon Whitlock defeated the Welsh pairing of Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton 3-1 in the final in Frankfurt. It followed stunning victories earlier on Sunday against England and Belgium.

And Heta couldn’t hold back his jubilation after coming out on top against Clayton in the fourth singles match to seal a dramatic victory. The Heat celebrated his nation's maiden World Cup by performing a cheeky jig before jumping up and down on stage with his belly on show.

The adoring supporters cheered at the sensational scenes while fans took to Twitter to voice their approval of the 34-year-old's performance and celebrations.

One tweeted: “True class , he's a world champion to come for sure as Whitlock states.”

Another wrote: “What a guy DamonHeta180,” while another commented: “100% deserved what a man.”

Price and Clayton collapsed in the opening two singles matches, with The Iceman losing 4-0 to a dominant Heta and world No.8 Clayton losing 4-2 to Whitlock. Heta fumbled a crucial match dart and missed out on a chance to win the title in the doubles session as the 2020 champions fought back to clinch a 4-3 win.

But Heta remained composed in the fourth singles match, hitting a 180 in the sixth leg and finishing on a double 16. His partner – The Wizard – was full of praise for his team-mate while sparing a moment to talk about former World Cup partner Kyle Anderson, who died last year.

Whitlock told Sky Sports: “I’ve had a great partner, Damo’s been amazing. I wish I’d done it with Kyle before, but Kyle’s not around anymore and Damon’s taken the responsibility.

"He’s amazing, I love this guy, he’s the best player on the planet right now.”

He added: “This guy is on fire, he’s going to be the next world champion, I guarantee that.”
