SERIE A newboys Salernitana are the latest club attempting to land David Luiz, according to reports in Italy.
The defender, 34, is without a club after leaving Arsenal in the summer but has not been short of admirers.
Brazilian side Flamengo and Mario Balotelli's Adana Demirspor have both been linked with a move.
But Luiz could be given the chance to remain in Europe's top leagues with a stay in southern Italy.
Salernitana are expected to negotiate the deal with the player's representatives this week, according to Italian journalist Rudi Galetti.
Following promotion to Serie A, the Salerno club have already landed former Bayern Munich and France star Franck Ribery.
The 38-year-old has agreed terms with the Granata and will undergo a medical on Monday.
Luiz has previously outlined his ambition of fighting for trophies as he reaches the twilight of his career.

The centre-back told the Mail last month: "My idea is to win, win, win as soon as possible.
"The offers so far, they did not touch my heart. I want to stay at a high level. Maybe that will be in the Premier League.
"I am working every single day. I want pressure, to be fighting for titles.
"I want that feeling of having to win every single week. That is why I have always played football, and why I still play. I want to feel alive."
Lazio were also reportedly looking into signing Luiz but coach Maurizio Sarri is said to have ended his club's interest in the player.
Salernitana have lost both of their opening Serie A games following last season's promotion, including a 4-0 defeat to Roma.
