Erik ten Hag facing Man Utd transfer blow with one of his top targets 'intensifying talks' with Juventus

POTENTIAL new Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag could reportedly miss out on top target Antony.

United have reportedly reached a “verbal agreement in principle” for Ten Hag to become their next manager.

And the Dutchman was hoping to bring Ajax ace Antony, 22, with him to the Premier League.

But according to Calciomercato, Ten Hag and United could miss out on their top target to Serie A giants Juventus.

The Serie A side are said to have "intensified" talks with the Brazilian's representatives in the hopes of signing him this summer.

Antony could be picked up for a bargain fee of around £29million.

Antony also has NINE senior Brazil caps, having made his debut for the five-time world champions in October 2021.

A move to the Premier League or LaLiga would be a dream come true for Antony.

He admitted to Dutch news outlet Telegraaf: "Ajax is the place where I feel happy.

“But of course, I do think about a move in the future sometimes.

"Premier League and La Liga are the leagues I find beautiful. When the time is right, I hope to play there."
