Following a surprise break from his role on GB News just two weeks after the channel’s launch, Andrew Neil will return to join Nigel Farage on Thursday evening. This will be Neil’s first appearance on the channel since announcing his break over a month ago. Farage announced the former BBC presenter’s comeback in a short clip published to the network’s official Twitter account.
Farage announced in the clip: “Tonight on Farage at Seven, Andrew Neil joins me.
“And the big question is: is America still a trusted ally?”
Also teeing up what else was to come, Farage continued: “And on Talking Pints, I’m joined by Rusty Firmin,
“One of the heroes of the Iranian Embassy siege of 1980.”
Needless to say, it didn’t take long for GB News fans to express their excitement ahead of Neil’s comeback.
“Must watch program,” one fan replied, while a second tweeted: “Gew on nige.” (sic)
However, question marks still remained as a third weighed in: “Where has Andrew been !?”
With Neil joining Farage to discuss the UK and USA’s alliance, the GB News star will undoubtedly weigh in on the controversy surrounding President Joe Biden’s decision to withdraw troops from Afghanistan – subsequently leading to Boris Johnson to follow suit.
Since the withdrawal of allied troops from Afghanistan, the Taliban has made monumental progress, seizing power and taking over the capital Kabul.
Despite stating he wholeheartedly stood by the decision, President Biden has drawn criticism due to the speed and nature of the Taliban’s resurgence.
It’s also raised questions over the USA and UK’s relationship with Farage blasting earlier this week the President did so without taking into account the UK’s stance.
