Beat The Chasers took a bizarre turn on Thursday evening as a contestant asked quiz champion Shaun Wallace out on a date.

Host Bradley Walsh was back on our screens to present the latest edition of The Chase spin-off show.

The cheeky presenter welcomed contestant Hannah to the studio and she quickly showed some admiration towards Shaun, 60,

Before she got the chance to answer any questions, Bradley was eager to find out what she'd do if she was lucky enough to win money on the show.

Hannah explained: "I'd ask Shaun out for dinner."

As the show went on, Hannah continued to try her luck with the barrister.

She even called him "gorgeous" at one point during their flirty exchange.

Hannah answer four questions correctly in her Cash Builder and she was later given the choice to increase her funds to £100,000.

When making his offer, Shaun teased: "When can have a dinner date of a lifetime. £100,000."

In order to win the whooping prize fund, Hannah had to beat all five of the Chasers.

She decided to play it safe and played against just three of the quizzers for £15,000.

Viewers were distracted from the quiz show by Hannah's flirty behaviour with Shaun.

Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: "I don't normally root for the contestants but Hannah was hilarious with her flirting with Shaun… Glad she won."

Another added: "Hannah will be waiting for Shaun in his dressing room after the show."

A third person posted: "This woman really likes Shaun."

While a fourth social media user said: "Shaun is getting alot of love today."

Hannah managed to beat Jenny Ryan, Darrag Ennis and Anne Hegerty to win £15,000.

The contestant later joked that she was going to take Shaun to fast-food chain McDonald's after the show.

Taking to Twitter during the show, Shaun penned: "If I offered you 47 seconds on the clock & a dinner date of a lifetime would you accept, or you would decline?! #BeatTheChasers"
