Below Deck Mediterranean recently came to a close, and while fans are currently enjoying season nine of the main series, there are still some unanswered questions from the Med. At least, Lloyd Spencer seems to think so, opening up about a certain hot tub moment involving Lexi Wilson. Holding little back, Spencer has shared his thoughts upon seeing the scene play out for the first time.

Below Deck has no shortage of memorable moments, with each and every episode offering some escalating drama.

During season six of Mediterranean, one of the most explosive moments came when the crew was enjoying some much-needed rest and relaxation.

Taking to the hot tub, an argument broke out between Wilson and various other members of the crew.

It started when they asked her about overhearing her talk to herself, something she vehemently defended.

“Very intelligent people talk to themselves, I Googled it for comfort last night,” Wilson hit back to the crew.

The moment ended with Wilson storming off, leaving the rest of the shipmates reeling from what should have been a fun evening.

Spencer was one of the shipmates involved at the moment and during a recent interview he admitted the scene was “hard to watch”.

Speaking to Decider, Spencer explained: “If I’m honest, when I watched it, I was thinking, ‘God, I wouldn’t want to be Lexi watching this back.’

“Feeling bad for her, having to witness [that]. And if it had been that one time, we did forgive her, but unfortunately, it did continue.

“So yeah, I had some pretty mixed feelings upon watching it back. It was a hard one to watch. Very hard.”

The moment eventually led to Wilson’s departure from the charter, leaving an uncomfortable air for the crew.

Spencer added: “The way that she left without saying goodbye and ignoring us when she left, it really sort of stamped a print on [her departure].

“We then turned to each other as a crew and after that specific moment, things really piped up and we were inseparable at that point.”

This wasn’t the first time the crew looked back on the now infamous second night out.

Last month, Wilson herself sat down with The Daily Dish to disclose her thoughts on the awkward exchange.

During the interview, Wilson stressed it was all “definitely a misunderstanding,” adding that she “liked everyone” in the crew.

The sailing star did admit that alcohol played a part in causing the argument to escalate, saying she “looked more frustrated,” due to drinking at dinner.

Most of the tensions rose between Wilson and Malia White, with the bulk of the argument coming from them.

Wilson continued: “I also felt like she was trying to stay out of it, yeah, there was just so much going on.”

Below Deck season 9 is available to watch on Bravo and Peacock in the USA. A UK release date is yet to be confirmed.
