90210 has been much-loved by fans in its varying forms since it first began in 1990. The recent reboot has been no different with audiences loving seeing the old gang back together once again. But could this be the start of another long-running series?
Will there be a Bh90210 season 2?
When the reboot was first announced to star a number of the original stars, many fans were excited about the idea.
Since it premiered on August 7, the show has been a big hit among viewers.
BH90210 follows Jason Priestley, Shannen Doherty, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green and Tori Spelling as they play heightened versions of themselves.
In the show they all come together in an attempt to get a reboot up and running.
Alongside this, the series follows them as they deal with the impacts of reconciliation with everything from romances to feuds kicking off.
Coming to an end tonight on Fox with episode The Long Wait, fans will no doubt be left wondering if there will be any more of the show.
While, Fox has not yet officially announced whether there will be another season, the stars have been dropping some hints about the future of the series.
Speaking to Access Hollywood stars Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth spoke about the possibility of a second series of the show.
Spelling joked: “Well, the original went 10 seasons so we’re going to go for 11.”
She also spoke to US Weekly at the TV Critics Association’s summer press tour where she revealed that she would love to continue the story.
She told the publication: “We would love to continue to work together.
“It’s been such an amazing experience. I liken it to high school when you think, ‘Oh, you never get a chance to do a do-over.’
“And there are things that you know now that you didn’t know then that you would’ve done differently and we get that opportunity.
“We have so many stories to tell that this could keep going season after season, so we hope it does.”
In an interview with E! News, Spelling also hinted at the direction that the show could be going in with more seasons.
She explained: “This season you’ll just see us kind of getting back together and finding our friendships again, and starting to film the reboot.
“So next season would be like a full-on reboot, so it would be a show within a show.”
One thing that Fox will be sure to look at is the ratings of the new series.
Starting out strong with 3.8 million US viewers, these have been dwindling across the season with the penultimate episode having 1.8 million according to TV by the Numbers.
Alongside this, not all of the original cast are as enthusiastic about the possibility of continuing on.
One of the stars Doherty also told US Weekly: “I think we should just focus on the six because — no projecting into the future.
“Right now, it’s this very awesome miniseries special event that’s very cool, and I personally love that because I think the audience gets in, they get that flavour of all of us, what they wanted to see us doing, they get some nostalgia in there for summer. It’s the perfect summer thing.”
Express.co.uk will update this article as soon as Fox makes the announcement.
