The week ahead is a huge one for several residents in the land of soap, as Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew) attempts to manipulate the situation to his advantage once more in Coronation Street, seemingly leaving Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) in fear off what he’ll do next.
Meanwhile, Max Bowden and Tony Clay take centre stage in EastEnders’ Secrets From The Square special, and one of their finest outings in Walford Pride is revisited as the week in question’s Iconic Episode.
Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) fights for her life in Emmerdale, as Cain (Jeff Hordley) keeps vigil by her bedside, and Nancy Osborne (Jessica Fox) bids an emotional farewell to Kyle Kelly (Adam Rickitt) in Hollyoaks.
Geoff visits DS Abney and reveals that he’d like to retract his statement and drop the charges against Yasmeen. His motives for doing so ultimately puzzle his nearest and dearest — as well as Alya and Ryan.
Yasmeen is given a phone in prison, and Geoff acquires the number of said device, and rings her in a bid to manipulate once more.
Carla decides to take over the factory for a while, and she’s none too pleased to hear from Sarah that Gary is intent on raising the rent.
Secrets From The Square: Max Bowden and Tony Clay re-live their best moments on the soap thus far, revisiting iconic scenes such as their unforgettable first on-screen kiss — a moment which gave birth to the pairing known as Ballum.
Iconic Episode: Walford Pride. It’s a special day for Bernie, who fully embraces who she is with the support of Tina. However, there’s panic afoot for Callum, who’s confronted by Stuart about his moment with Ben the night before. Originally shown last July, Pride is the soap’s 5,949th episode.
2008: The next four instalments from the year in question. Heather’s happiness is questions, and Roxy resorts to desperate measures.
Jamie reels after learning he hit Moira, and Andrea attempts to make him come to terms with what’s happened. However, Belle bangs on the door, and she gets quite the shock when Andrea answers. Belle is horrified when Andrea claims that Jamie wants nothing more to do with her.
Andrea attempts to win Jamie back with a date night, but it doesn’t go as planned, as he reveals that he’s no longer in love with her, and that it’s Belle he wants to be with. However, in spite of Jamie thinking he’s got the upper hand, it’s Andrea who ultimately has the last laugh, as she threatens to go to the police if he leaves her.
With Moira having been the victim of a hit and run, Cain is incredibly worried, and he and Matty keep vigil at her bedside. after Matty heads home, he secretly stays behind, and settles in to watch over her for the whole night.
Brooke worries about what she’s written for Kyle at his funeral, so Nancy agrees to read it out instead.
The words are about honesty, and Nancy urges anyone who is keeping a secret to open up and tell someone, and as she reads such words, she specifically glares at Darren.
Warren meets with Cormac —his former carer from the children’s home — and proceeds to reveal what Felix had previously said about him.Cormac grows defensive over the whole thing, and claims that Felix is lying. However, just as Cormac goes to leave, he spots Felix.
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm on ITV. EastEnders: Secrets From the Square airs Mondays 8pm on BBC One, while iconic episodes air Tuesdays at 7:30pm. Emmerdale airs Monday Wednesday and Friday at 7pm on ITV. Hollyoaks airs Monday and Tuesday on E4 at 7pm.
