Emmerdale star Max Parker 'quits soap after two years' as Luke Posner

Emmerdale star Max Parker has quit the soap, it is claimed.

The actor, who portrays Luke Posner in the ITV serial drama, is said to be leaving after two years, with his final scenes set to air in upcoming weeks.

‘Max was never going to stay on the soap for years,’ a source told The Sun.

‘He’s ambitious and a talented guy – he’s already auditioning for new roles and excited for the future.

‘But never say never – there’s always a chance he could return one day.’

Metro.co.uk has reached out to Emmerdale for comment.

Max’s character Luke is currently embroiled in a huge storyline, after it was discovered that he had been catfishing Ethan Anderson (Emile John).

When telling mum Wendy (Susan Cookson) about what he’d done, Luke opened up about about what really happened in the past with his boyfriend Stephen.

He confirmed that the relationship was an ‘intense’ one, and was even planning on introducing Stephen to Wendy.

Before he could do so, he was assaulted in a violent homophobic attack, and said attack was carried out by none other than his own brother Lee (Kris Mochrie).

Luke fought back and Lee ended up hitting his head – on the very same day he had the deadly altercation with Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley).

Wendy, now believing that Luke could’ve been responsible for Lee’s death and not Robert, has urged her son to tell Victoria the truth.

In this week’s episodes, which are now currently available to stream on ITV Hub, the truth comes out, after Wendy takes action.
