Emmerdale’s Sally Dexter has teased that she could soon be returning to the soap as the infamous Faith Dingle and honestly, Christmas has officially arrived early. Faith only left the Dales last month after it was unearthed that she’d been keeping her son Cain Dingle (played by Jeff Hordley) from knowing that he had become a father to Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) for years.
Sally joined Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on This Morning where she addressed whether or not we’ve seen the last of the character.
‘You have left and said it was really emotional those final scenes, but you’d love to go back?’ Phil asked.
Sally replied: ‘Who wouldn’t? It’s sort of irresistible. I do feel like I’ve left family up there.’
The 59-year-old actress continued: ‘We’re still in touch. It’s so peculiar, but I kind of I feel like have a son and a daughter, a granddaughter and several grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. It feels like that.
Sally first revealed her Emmerdale exit exclusively to Metro.co.uk at the Inside Soap Awards.
‘There’s a lot of fallout from the Moira, Cain, Nate debacle, I am probably going to be collateral,’ Sally revealed. ‘It’s going to be an explosive October.
‘I may have to leave for a little while.’
Asked whether she could tell us more, Sally continued: ‘You’ll have to watch the show. I ain’t gonna say nothing!’
Emmerdale are not confirming whether there are plans for Faith to return when approached for comment.
This Morning airs weekdays at 10.30am on ITV and Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7pm.
