The back story of Inspector Morse, Endeavour, has continued on ITV with actor Shaun Evans portraying the younger version of the iconic character. Season eight has been airing over the past couple of weeks but it will be coming to an end in just a matter of hours. Evans will once again be joined by the main cast, including Roger Allam, Sean Rigby and Anton Lesser.

Who is Endeavour actor Anton Lesser’s daughter?

Actor Anton Lesser has been in Endeavour since the very beginning in 2013.

He plays Chief Superintendent Reginald Bright who keeps a watchful eye over both DC Endeavour Morse (played by Shaun Evans) and DI Fred Thursday (Roger Allam).

Lesser has been in some major dramas during his career, two of which were HBO’s Game of Thrones as Qyburn and Wolf Hall as Thomas More.

He also portrayed former Prime Minister Harold Macmillan in Netflix’s The Crown.

Lesser has two children, Harry and Lily Lesser, with his daughter following in her father’s footsteps when it comes to her career.

She has secretly appeared on screen alongside her father on more than one occasion.

Lily portrayed Princess Mary Tudor in Wolf Hall on BBC Two back in 2015.

Three years ago, she also had a role in ITV’s Endeavour itself.

Lily was a character called Ravenna Mackenzie in the 2018 episode Icarus.

While Endeavour was investigating the disappearance of a teacher, he had a breakthrough he needed to tell Thursday about.

He was about to ring using the school’s phone when Ravenna (Lily Lesser) told him he wasn’t allowed to make personal calls on that phone, much to his annoyance.

This isn’t the only time Lily has popped up in a popular show either.

She has been in The Frankenstein Chronicles, The Alienist, ITV’s Vanity Fair and The Queen’s Gambit on Netflix.

According to her IMDB page, Lily also currently has a movie in post-production.

Few details have been released just yet on the film Passing Through but Lily will star alongside actress Helen Buday.

Her dad, on the other hand, has got one more episode left to star in of Endeavour before season eight is finished.

Season eight will conclude tonight, Sunday, September 26, on ITV.

Episode three is called Terminus and the synopsis reads: “It’s winter 1971.

“The team are called to investigate the violent murder of an Oxford college don, but Endeavour’s suitability to work on the case becomes compromised.”

Endeavour is available to watch on ITV Hub.
