First Britain’s Got Talent finalists revealed after controversial semi-final

Dave & Finn and Flakefleet Primary School have become the first acts to make it through to the Britain's Got Talent final.

Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly announced the results of the viewers votes before handing over to the judges.

Rosie & Adam, KNE, Akshat Singh, Brian Gilligan and Tony Rudd were all sent home after a very competitive semi-final.

The audience went wild when it was revealed that Dave & Finn had the most votes from viewers and were through as winners.

The judges then decided that Flakefleet Primary School deserved a place in the final, so The Haunting missed out.

The school's headmaster Dave McPartlin said: "Thank you – it's incredible. We're just showing kids to go for it and anything is possible."

When asked if it had sunk in, Dave said: "Definitely not. It's going to take a couple of ideas I think.

"We're coming up with some dieas. If we can just spread the message about these amazing dogs we've already won i think."

It looks like Amanda Holden won't have to brace herself for a third horrifying ordeal during the final – unless there is a wildcard option for The Haunting.

The first live show wasn't without controversy, as viewers were shocked by Simon Cowell's appearance and blasted The Haunting for terrifying Amanda.

Britain's Got Talent fans claimed to have rumbled The Haunting's trick as they spotted Elizabeth hiding round the corner as Amanda came up the stairs.

Taking to Twitter , one viewer said: "The Haunting…anyone else see the other girl coming out of the stairs to take over from “Agatha”?"

Another asked: "Did anyone else notice the woman standing on the stairs ready to swap over on the haunting act?"

A third said: "The haunting wasn't even real, you could see the woman change on the stairs!"

A fourth joked: "The haunting’s camera man after realising he’s getting sacked for exposing the act as fake at the stairs"

Amanda apologised after swearing on stage in front of million of viewers at home.

*Britain's Got Talent airs tonight on ITV at 7.30pm with results at 9pm
