Former Strictly Come Dancing pro Kevin Clifton predicts Molly Rainford will win

Former Strictly Come Dancing stars Kevin Clifton and Maisie Smith have shared their predictions as to which contestant will steal the Glitterball trophy.

During Monday’s visit to the ITV studios, financial expert Martin Lewis and Susanna Reid welcomed viewers back to the show to discuss the latest headlines in the news.

One of the biggest stories on everyone’s lips was the ongoing cost-of-living crisis but that didn’t stop the pair from discussing the latest evictee of the BBC One dance competition.

In between tense chats about the state of the economy, the presenting duo teased the appearance of the former ballroom stars who are set to return to the show through the roles of Scott and Fran in Strictly Ballroom the musical.

As they welcomed them onto the morning show, Susanna Reid couldn’t help but ask her former dance partner for his thoughts on who would win the show this year.

Feeling backed into a corner, the pro dancer confessed: “It’s tough this year. I really like Molly (Rainford) and Carlos (Gu), I thought they were great.”

But Maisie wouldn’t go down without a fight and refused to give any predictions as to who was going to win because she has “too many friends” competing this year.

She explained: “I’ve got too many friends – I'm not doing it” to which Susanna teased: “So one of your friends then?” as the actress nervously replied: “All of them – I can’t have a favourite.”
