Gogglebox fans have called for a ban after the latest episode that saw cast members react to a political TV show.
Fans of the popular TV show have called the show to ban political segments, with many taking to social media to say: "I wish they wouldn’t put politics on here."
In the latest episode of the television programme, cast members Pete and Sophie Sandiford, along with the rest of the cast, reacted to Andrew Marr – and fans were left divided.
In the clip that the Gogglebox cast were watching, Andrew Marr was quizzing the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson.
The show saw Pete say: "Inflation’s gone through the [bleep] roof, so it costs more to live, but obviously Boris doesn’t see it like that with his £500 a role wallpaper."
But fans weren't impressed by the political discourse that overwhelmed the episode.
Fans flooded social media, slamming the TV show for its choice to air political segments.

While a third wrote: "I love Gogglebox, but as said before Im sick of politics on that show."
They continued: "Please, I really don't care about what Boris Johnson has to say or Covid news when I'm trying to relax on a Friday/Saturday watching what should be a light hearted program. Sort it out!"
