Hollyoaks' Stuart Manning lands huge Hollywood role with Denise Richards after having to take work as a delivery driver

HOLLYOAKS star Stuart Manning has landed himself a new acting role alongside US actress Denise Richards.

Stuart, 41, has been sharing behind the scenes snaps from the set of Glow and Darkness on Instagram this week and he looks rather different.

Sporting a bushy beard, the former soap star looks worlds away from his Hollyoaks character Russ Owen.

Glow and Darkness is a medieval series which also stars 49-year-old Denise and former Bond girl Jane Seymour.

Writer and poet Alejandro Gillermo Roemmers created the series which is being filmed in Madrid, Spain.

Stuart shared a selfie with some of his co-stars in between takes and captioned the photo: "Working with these guys on #glowanddarkness has been a dream. I can’t wait to share it with you all soon."

He also shared several videos as he basked in the Spanish sun and took it all in.

"I am blessed to be working as an actor on such a great programme. It’s been brilliant, so if you’re working, you’re blessed," said in one of the clips.

Stuart's latest role comes after he revealed he was working as a vehicle delivery driver after being killed off from Hollyoaks in 2018.

The jobbing actor took to Instagram in 2019 to post a short clip, giving fans an update as he arrived at a Mercedes Benz garage in Hertfordshire for his first job of the day.

"Another day working! #grafting#workforyourdreams #iwillgetthere," he posted.

"Morning, morning morning. How is everyone this morning? I know it's nice and early. I've been here since half 5. I'm at Mercedes, just waiting to pick up a car. So yeah, just cracking on with a bit of work, making a bit of money," he added.

"Fingers crossed some castings will come in soon, we just have to wait and see. Life is how it goes, you just got to make the best of it.

"I hope everyone's good. I hope everyone has a wicked day and I will catch you all later. Laters!"

Filming of Glow and Darkness was postponed earlier this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, so it's unsure when the series will be ready for release.

Denise has also been teasing a number of elaborate looks from the international series on social media, which include her wearing medieval gowns and crowns.
