I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! was due to start at a later time of 9.15pm, however it started five minutes later at 9.20pm due to the World Cup 2022 football coverage dominating ITV. Fans were left fuming from the delay, and many took to social media to share their thoughts. The later start almost meant fans would have to wait longer for the latest celebrity eviction.

Taking to Twitter, Becca fumed: “I’m sorry but enough football coverage, the game is over. I want to see Owen do a trial! Come on ITV… #ImACeleb.”

Toff tweeted: “Nobody cares about the football get #ImACeleb on.”

While Georgina added: “Yeah, we get it you scored 1-1 … can we move onto #imaceleb now? Not that I’m impatient or anything.

“I just think showing the after-talk is unnecessary, does anyone actually still watch it gone past this point if we weren’t waiting for another show?” (sic)

“Jesus wept come on how long do you need to discuss a football match for?” David Brisbane penned.

Meg said: “Please just show me Ant and Dec I do not care about football #ImACeleb.”

“Get this rubbish off my TV and #ImACeleb on!!” Tom James Clark raged.

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly wasted no time when the show finally began as they recapped on the latest 24 hours in the camp.

The campmates weren’t happy with Matt Hancock either as he took charge of the cooking.

The former Health Secretary accidentally burned the rice, meaning the campmates had less to eat for breakfast.

As they sat around camp, Scarlette Douglas asked Matt if he’d checked the rice.

When lifting the lid to the pot, she remarked: “Totally burnt.”

Turning to Matt, the presenter said: “I thought you were keeping an eye on that, no worries.”

Seann Walsh later said in the Bush Telegraph: “Matt did a bit of an ‘oopsie’ with the cooking and forgot that the rice was being cooked.”

While a hungry Owen Warner went on to ask: “Is that inedible?”

Seann added in the Bush Telegraph: “I don’t remember there being so many problems with the cooking when Charlene was here. I think this restaurant’s gone downhill. Sorry, Matt.”

Matt didn’t seem phased by the mishap as he said: “We rescued the situation, we got half a pan of rice.

“Basically we lost one packet of rice. All is well.”

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! airs weekdays at 9pm on ITV.
