Jake Quickenden left 'frustrated' as son Leo suffers mystery illness that's left him in 'pain and unsettled'

JAKE Quickenden has been left feeling "frustrated" as son Leo has a mystery illness that's left him in "pain and unsettled".

The X Factor star, 32, and girlfriend Sophie Church haven't had it easy since welcoming their first born into the world back in February.

Jake admitted that he was struggling with parenthood and feared his son hates him in a candid post last month.

The new dad has also had to deal with a number of vile trolls who have shared their negative opinions on his choice of name and his son's appearance.

To make matters worse, now the couple are trying to get to the bottom of why Leo is so "unsettled and in pain" during the night.

Jake admitted that they've recently changed his milk and he's suffering from reflux, but will wait it out for the next couple of days until they go to the doctors.

He shared an adorable father-son selfie and captioned the post: "IT'S FRIDAY….. morning sorry I look like a thumb but Leo looks cute, we are trying to have a lay in but Leo’s wide awake!!

"How my days have changed, Leo’s been unsettled again last few days the milk change has helped a lot but I think he still has reflux.

"We have to wait a few more days to see, but if he doesn’t settle the doctor has something for him, it’s been a long old road and it’s been frustrating for us all not knowing why he’s in pain and unsettled!!

"It’s about eliminating all the possibilities!! Hopefully he will be smiling soon and more settled!! God he’s cute though ❤️."

Jake's followers flocked to the comments section to comment on how adorable Leo is.

One wrote: "I really want to squeeze his cheeks!! He’s so cute! ?❤️❤️."

A second said: "He’s gorgeous xx bright as a button ?."

A third added: "Look at them beautiful big eyes ? bless you both."

A fourth chimed in: "His little face ?."

His most recent post comes after Leo met his grandma Lisa for the first time.

The reality star marked the special occasion by sharing an adorable snap of his mum looking fondly at the baby as he cradled him.

Alongside the touching image, an emotional Jake wrote: “I could cry I’m so happy…. mums arrived @orchardlodge_home thanks to everyone who let me know I could have a bubble, I wasn’t even aware of it!!

“To see my mum meeting Leo has honestly made my weekend!! Have a lovely weekend everyone!! Let’s be Kind ❤️.”

The much-needed visit came shortly after Jake hit back at a cruel troll who said his newborn son "is ugly as f*** and needs Botox".

The disgusting comments were left on a photo of sweet son Leo and he urged trolls to stop and think about what they're doing.

The celeb told his 893k followers: "REAL POST… So in the past week this little man has been told he needs Botox, that he’s ugly as f**k and that he’s weird looking, me myself have also been told stay off social media if you don’t want to be trolled, it’s so baffling to me that I should have to stay off social media if I don’t want my 4 week old trolled.

"I don’t mind people giving me s***, as sad as it is I’ve had to get used to being called “irrelevant" “ugly" “attention seeking" and the list goes on but to troll an innocent child is so wrong and the people doing it seriously need to seek help.

"Also why should I stay off social media if I don’t want him trolled the thought process of some people is shocking, maybe people just shouldn’t troll.

"I enjoy social media it’s full of lovely people who are supportive and I like sharing my ups and downs, I try and be real as possible, but unfortunately there is a dark side of social media and something needs doing about it.

"Anyway rant over!! The lion is 4 weeks today! Cute af ️Love you son @leooliverq."

Earlier this week it was revealed that keyboard warrior who called his son"f***ing ugly" called him to apologise.

Jake gave an update to his followers and said: "He sent me his number on Instagram, I gave him a ring. Do you know what the scary thing is? He's a nice lad.

"He apologised and said it was pathetic and he was after a few likes and he needs to grow up.

"If it's taught him anything then hopefully he won't do it again. That's all we ask for.

"Let it be a lesson, you can't do it, you may get a few likes but it upsets people.

"I appreciate him for ringing, or sending me his number so I can ring him. Like I said, he's a normal lad."

Jake and Sophie started dating in 2018, but secretly split just days before the new mum found out she was pregnant.

Sophie, who appeared on Channel 4's Celebs Go Dating, has another son, Freddie, six, from a previous relationship.
