Love Island’s Anton makes a move on Anna after Sherif exit but it majorly backfires

Anton Danyluk, 24, hasn’t been that successful in the Love Island romance stakes so far but nothing is going to stop the Scottish gym owner from trying.

He was originally paired up with air hostess Amy, 27, who soon deffed him off for professional dancer Curtis Pritchard, 23.

Anton then tried to make a move on Anna, 28, but she swiftly friend-zoned him and stuck with 20-year-old chef Sherif – who has subsequently left the villa.

Unperturbed, he then involved himself in a love triangle with Mollie-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury.

But after flirtations with new boy Danny, 20, too, Mollie seemed to finally make her mind up last night and seemed to put her eggs firmly in Tommy’s basket.

Therefore, round two is on Anton’s mind on tonight’s show, and he tries to make a move on curvaceous pharmacist Anna Vakili once more.

He tells her: “Obviously Molly has come in and she is very much my type. You know that. I don’t want you to feel like you’re vulnerable in here. As long as I’m in here, I’ve got your back.

Anna replies “Thank you babe. Obviously, I want you to find someone.

Anton says “As much as Molly is my type, she’s beautiful from the outside-in, you’re beautiful on the inside and out. You’re not necessarily my absolute type on paper but Molly, who is someone who is my type, I still wouldn’t want to be with someone like that.

Anna reflects on her conversation with Anton in the Beach Hut. She says “I don’t know whether to take that as a compliment or not.”

Anton says ‘I’m not saying that we’ll ever turn into something romantic but I just want to pick up where we left off before the recoupling.’

Anton seems hopeful that he and Anna might stick together.

Later Anna talks to be Amber, Yewande and Amy about her recent chat with Anton and explains she thinks he’s ruined it.

Amber’s responds: “He is such a fool.”

In the Beach Hut, Anna adds: “If Anton liked me, he wouldn’t have been hitting on Molly. So, he doesn’t like me. I don’t know what he was trying to say. It was confusing me.”
