LOVE Island stars Kaz and Tyler have confirmed they have split after four months of dating.
The pair, who met on the ITV2 reality show this summer, described the break up as “very sad” after struggling to make it work.
Tyler and Kaz were finalists in this year's series, finishing in fourth place and becoming boyfriend and girlfriend soon after returning to the UK.
They are the first of the finalists to call it quits – Chloe and Toby, Millie and Liam and Faye and Teddy, are all still together.
In a joint statement released today, they said: “We are extremely sad to announce that we have decided to end our romantic relationship.
“We have had a fantastic journey and we will always have a special bond between us.

“We will continue to be very much in one another’s lives and support each other in every way.
“We are so grateful that we have shared this Love Island experience with each other, and we will continue to support each other’s careers.”
They added: “Life since the villa has been amazing, but it’s taking time to adjust to a normal in the public eye. This part of the journey hasn’t been easy for us but we're learning.
“Thank you to very single person who has supported us, we appreciate you more than you will ever know.”
Signs of a split
Fans were already convinced they had split after noticing a number of signs.
Their last photo together was posted on Tyler's Instagram on November 29, 2021.
Another huge hint of the separation was Tyler's absence at the Mobo Awards on December 5, 2021.
As Kaz was seen presenting an award alongside Capital Xtra's DJ Abrantee, Tyler was nowhere to be found.
Tyler opened up to The Sun in October about how his relationship was going from strength to strength – and insisted they didn't want to rush moving in together.
While their fellow co-stars started house-hunting just weeks after leaving the villa, Tyler explained him and Kaz were happy taking things at their own pace.
At the time, the pair saw a long-term future together after discussing baby names and family plans.
Kaz and Tyler were fan favourites on Love Island, with viewers left raging when they were snubbed during the show's controversial reunion episode.
They were the only finalists not invited onto the sofa to chat with host Laura Whitmore – who defended the move by insisting that Kaz was invited onto the stage as one of Toby's exes.
The excuse didn't cut it with fans, who argued that she deserved a place in the limelight on her own merit, with all other couples in last month's final interviewed on stage together.
