Peter Andre's wife Emily gets the Christmas tree up early and says isn't afraid of the bad luck after surviving 2020

PETER Andre's wife Emily has defied tradition and got the family's Christmas decorations out early.

Emily, 31, headed up to the ceiling of the family's Surrey to dig up the Christmas tree and was not at all worried about the superstition of putting decorations up early.

The NHS doctor who battled the coronavirus pandemic on the medical frontline said she was not scared of inviting bad luck into the home after surviving this year.

“How much more bad luck can we all have in 2020!” Emily says in the couple's The Andres YouTube series.

According to tradition, the tree should go up at the beginning of Advent, which is four Sundays before Christmas.

Other traditions dictate erecting the xmas tree 12 days before Christmas.

Some say it's bad luck for the tree to go up before December.

In Roman Catholic tradition, the Christmas tree isn't put up until the afternoon of Christmas eve – with the Queen and her family polishing off their decorations on Christmas Eve.

If you're opting for a real tree this year, experts recommend putting it up at the beginning of December.

The British Christmas Tree Growers Association says the trees can last up to four weeks if looked after properly.

In the latest edition of the family's exclusive web series, the family all join in to make the Christmas cake, Pete also experiences his first photo shoot with everybody wearing masks, and even finds himself working on a local fruit and veg stall.

The new episode comes just days after Pete shared an intimate snap of the couple curled up in bed together.

In the picture, Pete, 47, gave fans a hint of topless torso as he rested his head against Emily's and smiled for the camera.

Emily also beamed for the camera, showing off her natural beauty and a bare neckline as she lay next to her husband.

Pete captioned the picture with a love heart emoji.

Their intimate bedroom snap comes days after Emily hinted they could be open to trying for another baby in the new year.

The pair's youngest child Theo turned four earlier this month, and as he gets closer to starting school, the idea of having a third baby is becoming more appealing.

Writing in her OK! magazine column, mum-of-two Emily said: "We've previously said we might have another baby after Theo goes off to school and we've decided to talk about it properly after Christmas.

"I'm still not sure about being pregnant and giving birth during a pandemic. Even though there are various vaccines on the way, we may not be back to normal for some time."

Peter and Emily's eldest child Amelia is six, while the singer has two teenage children, Junior, 15, and Princes, 13, with ex-wife Katie Price.

The Andres special Christmas episode airs tonight at 6pm on YouTube.
