Laurie Shelby (Kyle Pryor) has become a major villain in Hollyoaks, what with his sinister behaviour causing problems for many of the soap’s mainstays. But with Finn O’Connor’s (Keith Rice) impending return not far off, could the young inmate prove to be Laurie’s downfall after Diane (Alex Fletcher) pays him a visit in prison?
Since his arrival at Hollyoaks High, Laurie has been making Sienna Blake’s (Anna Passey) life a living hell, what with him constantly pushing the boundaries and coming onto her — despite her having told him to stop. It’s not just Sienna that he’s demonstrated his sinister behaviour to either, as he also raped how own wife, Sinead (Stephanie Davis).
Plenty of the village residents having finally copped on to what he’s truly like — including Sami Maalik (Rishi Nair) and Brody Hudson (Adam Woodward), both of whom have made separate attempts to put a stop to him.
With Brody having been sexually abused by Buster (Nathan Sussex), he wants Laurie gone more than anyone. As a result, he comes up with a plan — one that’s inspired by the case against his abuser. He sets about tracking down others that have been abused by Laurie and, before long, he sets up a meeting with two women that are potential victims of the deputy head teacher’s abuse.
Meanwhile, Diane pays Finn a visit in prison.
What with the young lad’s history of rape, could he end up being instrumental in Laurie’s downfall? He’s currently serving time for raping John Paul McQueen (James Sutton) back in 2014, so who better than him to know what’s going on inside the mind of a rapist?
What’s more, before he was apprehended, Finn attempted to rape Nancy Osborne (Jessica Fox), and what with Nancy currently hellbent on catching Laurie out, perhaps the young criminal will feel compelled to help as a way of making amends for his heinous crimes?
One to watch: Friday 21st June at 7pm on E4.
